I Get It Already...

Why is that people feel the need to frequently remind me of my weight? O.K. Yes, I get it. I am fat. Do you not think I have a mirror? Helen Keller could tell me I'm overweight. I don't need your input, Sherlock. When I really want your opinion, I will give it to you.

People suck. You could always reply with 'yeah, but you're ugly and I can diet,' or 'what a charming personality...run along...' or (and I love this one) 'if I want your opinion, I'll rattle your cage.' When I was in high school there was this one evil girl who walked up to me in a random act of cruely and said 'gee rossie you haven't lost any weight since the holidays' It's ok. She hadn't developed a personality either so I figured we were pretty even.

So what brought this on?

I get that a lot (but in my case it's true)

The best was when my 9 year-old sister asked me if I was pregnant. Of course I answered her with a glare and "You better start running!" She knew I wasn't, the brat.

This was just last year.

I've found that in Hawaii people like to state the obvious. Of course this fact is true in most places you reside but here...the obvious is more personal.

Especially from old Filipino ladies who you work with at a store/restaurant called Big Daddy's for a summer in Kaunakakai, but that's a story for another time...

By the way, you're the perfect size.

Really, this isn't in responce to one patricular thing. One day, for some reason, every person I knew (from ha'ole to Asian to Polynesian) felt like they needed to make a comment on it. Then came the jokes. Then came the belly rubs. I don't like it when some guy puts his hand on my belly and shakes it to watch the show...
Can you blame me?

How would a girl like it if some guy put his hands on her ample bussoms and shook them and make jokes about jell-o or earthquakes or what have you?

I can take a joke. I just get tired of people having the pulling force to remind me.

I better not fall alseep on the beach one night or someone will try to roll me back into the ocean from whence I came...

Nah, I didn't take it personal. They tell me that every time I stop by to say hi "Oooh, Kristi...you so pat" (meaning fat).

Yeah, people telling me I'm fat doesn't bother me as much as it could have years ago. I've realized that it's my fault I've ended up this way (besides wonderful female fat-saving genes) so what can I do besides say "Yes, I am."

My size has saved me from getting in quite a bit of fights. People just assumed that I'd beat them up, which is so not true. But they can think that all they like. I mean, I probably could if it came down to it. But yeah. People say stuff, I don't care anymore. Though it is funny - all the obvious things you hear people say. You should make a running list for a month of all the things you hear on campus.

Just you remember that in the future when your poor wife is pregnant! Nothing more disturbing than having random strangers run up to you to rub the magic Buddah Belly...ugh...

Holy freaking A. It bugs the CRAP out of me when people go up to pregnant women and molest their poor bellies. I am going to print T-Shirts with the picture of the Emperor from Emperor's New Groove on there going "No touchy!" I'll give one to you then, Jared.

Me. I love it when people tell me I've gained weight. Of course, they almost never do that.

Everyone has parts of their body that jiggles. The other day Mike slapped me on the butt and told me it was like watching the tsunami. It means your normal.

I've gained weight since having a baby. I wish so bad I could be in the body I was in a few years ago. I've relized that if I want that I have to do something about it! My husband has no problems with the weight I've gained. It's only a problem for me. Even if it is only a problem for me then that is reason enough to change it. So if you feel you are over weight and want to change it then do. If you feel fine about your body then who cares what anybody else thinks.

Ok way to tired to say something witty, but truly don't let it bother you, like one person said everyone has something that jiggles I just wish my jiggling wasn't where it is.
