At 2:15 PM Nov 5, 2008 Guam time, my heart skipped a beat, but not out of joy...

Maybe now Anna can finally talk me into moving to Vietnam...

That is pretty sad. At least Prop 8 is doing well. Hopefully that keeps up.

Yup. Interesting twist to American "politics". I live on the Left Coast (aka "California")... it's tough to say "it's getting weird out here"--because that has always been the case. But now it's reaching the ultimate in strangeness. Aargh. I've considered moving back to Guam--but now, I'm thinking Palau or perhaps Yap. *grin*... Anyway... I *do* miss the island... thanks for your blog--it helps me to keep up with what's going on over there. If you know anyone here in the San Francisco Bay area--there's a big Guam event at the Brava Theater on Saturday Nov 15, 2008. You can read more about it at the bottom of my Guam Experience Squidoo site.

Best regards...

Hey Dave, nice site. I saw some of the videos you had posted. Made me think of adding a link to my videos of Guam. Here's a link to some of them:

Whats sad is you feel so threatened by a non-white in the white house, that you would consider moving to a less than 3rd world country. Worst case scenario, Obama and dems destroy the country, what makes you think you'd be better off in Vietnam (or anywhere else, for that matter??)Unfortunately, only time and 'new' history will dispel your fears. And when it does, I hope you'll blog about it.

Why do you assume that I am threatened because he is a "non-white?" Frankly, I'm more concerned with his politics. If I was afraid of non-whites I'd have a hard time living where I do, working with the people I work with and even living with my wife.

I've been to Vietnam twice to visit my in-laws, and if I could get a decent job there it wouldn't be that bad. Vietnam is a lot less of a 3rd world country than you might think.

Yes, time will tell on Obama's presidency. Should I be wrong, great. But I can already see things he is working on that don't agree with and think the country will pay the price.
